Bespoke wine experiences
Why not try wine blending at Le Grand Domaine, our winery? We offer an introduction to the viticulture process of our terroir-driven wines, followed by a barrel tasting of our high end, export-only wines.
Or, you might prefer a private wine tasting in the comfort of the villa. Debbie Thompson’s signature Drops of God wine tasting experience is hosted in the candlelit cellar. There, Debbie guides guests in refining their sense of taste and smell with 54 vials of scent.
Le Grand Domaine
Just up the road from Le Grand Jardin villa is Le Grand Domaine winery. Devon Valley is in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, just 45 minutes’ drive from Cape Town.
Le Grand Domaine is owned by Origin Vineyards, a premium wine business founded by Le Grand Jardin’s owner, Bernard Fontannaz. Bernard’s family has been making wine in Switzerland for two generations and today he continues that passion with vineyards here in South Africa and in Argentina.

Celebrity chefs Liam Tomlin and David Schneider have partnered with us to bring you the Cantina: a brand new food experience for Stellenbosch paired with our finest wines. It's fun, it's informal, and the tapas bites will bring back memories of pintxos bars in San Sebastiàn in Spain. Lively, spontaneous, great vibes... the newest and coolest spot to open in Church Street.
