Weddings & elopements
Weddings here are nothing short of magical. Le Grand Jardin is more than just a venue: it’s where love stores are celebrated when closest friends and family gather together from all over the world to celebrate. Built around 100-year-old oak trees, the Looking Glasshouse is the jewel of our magnificent garden: designed to host up to 40 guests, for everything from grand celebrations to more personal, bespoke gatherings.
Private ceremonies can be held on the lawn between the glasshouse and pool, or vows exchanged in the Floral Chapel, with dappled light filtering through its pretty scalloped-glass roof. Set a scented flower garden with views through stained-glass doors across the water lilies to the Stellenbosch mountains beyond, it’s perfectly proportioned for private elopements but may also seat 24 guests on wooden benches with ease.

Tucked away in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Le Grand Jardin isn’t just a venue – it’s your own magical playground. Drawn by its welcoming charm and privacy, it’s no surprise it has hosted legends like The Parlotones at unforgettable private soirées. Here, 60 is the new 40, so it comes with a golden ticket to play, let go, and dive into a world bursting with wonder.

Bespoke experiences – wine blending with our winemaker, enjoying our seven-fire cooking experience or taking a private art tour of galleries and studios – are all curated especially for you.
Looking for a peaceful escape? Step into a world of enchantment where serene yoga or meditation sessions are on the deck in the middle of the dam and wild swimming is in our eco-pool among blooming water lilies… both perfectly capturing the essence of healing through nature. Post-swim warm-ups are in the cosy steam room or Jacuzzi in the forest.

Our exclusive-use Sir Herbert Baker manor and pool pavilion sits in five acres of timeless gardens, wrapped in the vineyards of Devon Valley – a dream canvas for film and photography.
Step inside and you’ll find bold, colourful interiors, each bedroom suite with its own personality and sunlit living spaces that invite the lens. Outdoors, a Victorian-style glasshouse glows among mature trees, while a romantic little chapel hides nearby at the dam – perfect for whimsical or period backdrops.
But it’s the unexpected details that steal the show: life-size Alice in Wonderland characters peeking through the greenery, a zipline skimming over the dam, a fire pit for atmospheric open-flame scenes, a steam room and Jacuzzi for indulgent lifestyle moments. And behind the manor? A 1930s carousel and a vintage showman’s caravan – pure cinematic gold.
